It’s that time of year. Market season is over and although we will certainly miss the comradery and warmth of Summer, NP and I are grateful for a break. While Winter is not without work, this winter at least should involve fewer chores and a little more family time and SLEEP than the last 18 months have allowed. Over the last year and a half, we have learned countless lessons. Certainly, we have learned lessons about production, marketing, livestock and regulations. But also and perhaps more importantly, we have learned lessons about loss, failure, love, heart break, persistence, determination, community, forgiveness, burn out, self-limits, and recovery. I am sure we will build on ALL of these lessons in the years to come.
Going forward, we will be making some changes at Brun Ko Farm, although we aren’t sure exactly how that will manifest. But is that anything new? Brun Ko Farm is always changing and evolving. That’s what keeps it interesting.
One thing we know for sure is that we will take on projects at a slower pace and the backyard fire ring will get used more.
Enjoy!
