Buying in Bulk

Buying in bulk is more economical. You can choose to purchase a quarter, half, or whole beef. A whole beef has a hanging weight of 500-600lbs and will yield about 300lbs of meat in your freezer. So what do you get with a half a beef? Click here to help answer that question :)

The process is simple, you let me know what you would like (quarter, half or whole beef) and I put you in contact with the locker where the meat is cut & packaged. Then, they walk you through your options and help you decide how you would like to have your meat cut (do you want more steaks? or more roasts?). You pay us for the meat based on the hanging weight and then you pay the locker directly for the processing. Once your meat is ready, the locker will call you and let you know that you can pick it up :)

So, the nitty gritty, what is the cost?

We charge $3.99 per lb hanging weight. And the locker charges about $0.76 per lb for processing. (They charge $0.03 extra per lb if ordering a quarter)

So, for example, if you order half a beef, the cost will be approximately, $1045.

So, to break that down:
1/2 beef ~ 250lb hanging weight
250lb x $3.99 = $997.50 to Brun Ko Farm
250lb x $0.73 processing fee = $187.50 to the locker
$997.50+$187.50=$1185 total
$1185/150lb cut and wrapped meat = $7.00 per lb of meat in your freezer

The hanging weight is determined at the locker after butchering and we send you an invoice once we have this information available.
